3 face criminal charges for 5 alleged armed robberies

Three people have been arrested and accused of committing several armed robberies. The three Massachusetts individuals face serious criminal charges for allegedly robbing four businesses, as well as a pizza delivery driver, over a two-week span. The investigation into the alleged events is still underway.

On Aug. 13, a Citgo gas station clerk called local police officers and complained that the store had just been robbed. The employee stated that a woman came into the store brandishing a handgun. The clerk supposedly gave the woman an undisclosed amount of cash, and she then left the store. The woman allegedly got into a vehicle and left the scene, but witnesses were purportedly able to provide the officers with details of the vehicle, including the license plate.

The authorities began searching for the vehicle, and they pulled over what they thought was the getaway vehicle. The three occupants of the vehicle were each arrested and charged with five counts of armed robbery. The officers believe that the same car was used as the getaway car in each robbery. As the investigation continues, more charges could be possible for the three individuals.

However, as the Massachusetts investigation proceeds, it is possible that evidence could be found that would support each individual's criminal defense. Accused individuals have the right to contest their criminal charges in court. It is also possible that one or more of these persons could face the option of negotiating a plea deal with the prosecution, which could potentially result in a reduction of charges.
