Massachusetts assault and battery indictment for 3 in Acton brawl

An alleged assault at a Massachusetts bowling alley has resulted in criminal charges against three men. Police were reportedly alerted to an assault and battery altercation in the parking lot of the Acton Bowladrome Arcade And Restaurant one night in May shortly before 9 p.m. They found a man in the lot who had been stabbed, and witnesses apparently told police of three suspects who had allegedly tried to run over the man in a pickup truck after the stabbing. The men who police have identified as the assailants reportedly fled eastbound on Massachusetts Avenue following the incident. No information was available concerning the condition of the person stabbed, and it is not known if he was hospitalized following the incident.

Massachusetts doctor faces drug charges following alleged DUI

A very well-respected and successful Massachusetts emergency room doctor has been in an accident recently which unfortunately sent another man to the hospital. The 56-year-old, 2009 Doctor of the Year left a Whole Foods parking lot; allegedly under the influence of prescription medications believed to have been written personally. It is unclear at this time if any blood samples were taken or field tests performed to determine this supposed impairment. This doctor has pleaded not guilty to the drug charges filed against her.

Massachusetts police arrest four individuals on criminal charges

When two or more individuals are alleged to have conspired to commit a criminal offense, this may not only lead to a criminal charge on the actual offense, but also to a conspiracy charge. If a conviction is ultimately obtained, this can tack on further penalties. Massachusetts police have alleged that four individuals conspired together to rob an elderly man. The four now face criminal charges, as well as a conspiracy charge, although police have not identified what each individual's role was in the theft at this time.

Massachusetts man charged with DUI and child endangerment

A Massachusetts man has been issued several criminal charges for his involved in a three-vehicle accident late last month. The man was driving a Chrysler Town and Country when the accident occurred as he tried to negotiate a late exit from the Turnpike at the Interstate 84 exit. His minivan swerved in front of a tractor-trailer which caused a collision as the truck pushed the minivan into a Volkswagen Tiguan, forcing it into a guardrail. In the aftermath of the accident, Troopers issued the driver of the minivan a DUI and other traffic violations.

Massachusetts victim of addiction may face felony theft charges

Massachusetts takes theft very seriously, and the consequences of being convicted of a theft charge can affect many areas of one's life. Fines, probation and even jail time are just a few of the penalties associated with a felony theft charge. Whenever someone is charged with theft to any degree, it is the responsibility of the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt in court that the accused committed the crimes alleged.
