6 people arrested after alleged Springfield assault and battery incident

Domestic disputes in Massachusetts and elsewhere are potentially violent by their very nature. A recent altercation appears to have spiraled out of control on June 17 in Springfield in Hampden County. The problem began with an alleged domestic dispute and escalated to allegations of assault and battery.

Two men arrested on drug charges on Cape Cod

Drug charges can carry significant penalties for those who are convicted. Recently, two Massachusetts men were arrested on drug charges after being stopped along Route 6 on Cape Cod just before midnight on a Saturday in June. The pair allegedly was found with approximately 300 prescription pills in their possession, according to police.

Massachusetts man indicted on numerous criminal assault charges

A Worcester, Massachusetts, grand jury has issued a criminal indictment of a Bellingham resident after he was originally arrested in April on assault charges. The man spent an extended length of time since his arrest in the hospital. He is now facing a number of criminal charges, including eight counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of assault and battery on a police officer, four counts of malicious destruction of property worth more than $250, two counts of possession of a Class A substance, and one count each of disturbing the peace, being a disorderly person, and resisting arrest.
