Criminal defense for Massachusetts residents

When it comes to criminal defense, there are many things that you should consider, all of which can affect your case. The crime you are accused of, the evidence against you and even the mindset of the courts can play a significant role in your verdict and the outcome of the case. Obviously some criminal offenses such as homicide are more serious than others such as petty theft, but no matter what your charges, you need legal representation.

What is a misdemeanor?

As many people probably know, there are an incredibly large amount of crimes that can be committed and punished under American law. In order to differentiate between these crimes, our country's justice system categorized different crimes in different ways. This was done to ensure that not all crimes were treated the same, and that penalties were more appropriate based on the crime committed. It would be foolish for someone who steals a candy bar to suffer the same punishment as a murderer.

Massachusetts man arrested for drunk driving

If you have been arrested for driving under the influence, you may be feeling hopeless or helpless. After all, police do not usually make drunk driving allegations lightly, and they will usually only charge individuals who fail sobriety tests and whose sobriety they believe they can reasonably question. However, just because you fail a sobriety test does not necessarily mean that you were too intoxicated to drive. Of course once police arrest someone for DUI or OUI, they will aggressively pursue a conviction, which is why accused individuals must take a similarly zealous stance in their defense.
