Massachusetts school administrator charged with OUI recently

A Massachusetts school administrator is facing serious charges after a recent traffic stop. According to police, the 47-year-old man was pulled over after allegedly almost hitting a police cruiser. Police assert that the man was traveling 25 miles per hour above the posted speed limit through a heavily populated area when they conducted the stop. The stop led to the man's arrest and subsequent charges, including OUI.

Police claim that the school administrator was belligerent with the officer that pulled him over. They also say that he was uncooperative, fumbled around and refused to submit to field sobriety tests or a Breathalyzer. Upon noticing a knife case in the car, police allegedly asked the man if he was carrying a weapon. They say the man failed to tell them that he had a gun on his person.

It is alleged that the man had several bottles of alcohol in the vehicle with him, as well as empty bottles in the back seat. While police say that the bottles were still wet inside, that does not necessarily mean that the man had recently drank the contents. The man was charged with a second offense OUI, carrying a weapon while intoxicated, lane violations, speeding and negligent operation of a vehicle.

The serious nature of the OUI charges against this Massachusetts school administrator could have devastating effects on his career, and life, if a conviction is ultimately obtained. Though the charges against him are many, this man remains innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. In addition, he reserves the right to defend himself against the allegations, and to challenge any evidence offered against him. Nevertheless, the stark consequences a conviction could bring mandate that the man make every reasonable effort to achieve the most favorable outcome possible.
